The Jubilee Year began in Rome on the vigil of the Lord’s Nativity on Dec. 24, 2024 with the opening of the Holy Door of St. Peter’s Basilica. In our diocese, Bishop Boyea is inviting all 10 deaneries to host a two week long continuous 40 hours Eucharistic Adoration campaign from Pentecost weekend to Corpus Christi weekend.
Save the date! On June 21, the vigil of the Feast of Corpus Christi, Bishop Boyea, along with as many clergy as possible and 9,000-10,000 people, will gather for an all-diocesan Mass at Jackson Field, Lansing (home of the Lugnuts). After Mass, participants are invited to process behind the Blessed Sacrament from Lugnuts Stadium to St. Mary Cathedral, where upon entering the Cathedral, pilgrims will receive a Jubilee Year Plenary Indulgence. And to round the whole experience out, all participants are invited to the Capital lawn where there’ll be a celebration with food trucks and music. Stay tuned for more information!
